How it works

Light that targets the hair, not the surface

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) sends gentle pulses of light, between 600 and 1200 nm, that are absorbed by the pigment in the hair. With regular sessions, regrowth becomes finer and sparser. A full-body session takes about 10 minutes. Results vary from person to person.

Does it hurt?

The ice-cooling window makes flashes feel gentler. Most people feel a light warmth; sensitivity varies by area and level.

How long does the battery last?

Around 90 minutes of use per full charge, according to the manufacturer. You can also use the device plugged in.

Who should not use it?

Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, on tattoos, moles, dark spots, tanned, sunburnt, irritated or broken skin, near the eyes, or if you take photosensitising medication. Always wear the goggles, do a patch test 24 h before, and avoid sun exposure before and after sessions. If in doubt, ask your doctor.

Is it a laser?

No. IPL uses a broad spectrum of pulsed light, gentler than a laser and designed for home use.
